Pilates Conditioning
About Pilates
Pilates is a slow paced and intentional method of exercise designed to mobilize, strengthen, and rebalance the body. Using safe progressions and a systematized approach, Pilates practitioners are able to move with greater control, precision, confidence, and awareness of their bodies.
Over the past 75 years since it was popularized, the Pilates method has proven itself invaluable not only as a fitness endeavor, but also as an important adjunct to general health, professional sports training, and physical rehabilitation of all kinds.
Pilates teaches balance and control of the mind and the body, and that capacity spills over into other areas of one's life leading many to feel a deeper sense of self awareness, empowerment, reduced stress, and general well being as a result of the practice of Pilates.
