Sessions on the Gyrotonic equipment will be centered around the Ultima Reveal, the latest model of the Pulley Tower Combination Unit. We will also incorporate the specialized pieces of equipment including the Jumping Stretching Board, and the GYROTONER® which facilitates shoulder, hip and spinal mobility in multiple movement planes.  Each session will be programmed to your specific skill level and guided step by step.

A Gyrokinesis class is often offered as a group experience, but it is also wonderful to take a Gyrokinesis class one on one.  In this way, the instructor is able to support the student throughout the class with hands on cuing and supportive feedback, while tailoring the content of the class specifically to the mover's individual needs. Gyrokinesis private sessions will be centered around the stool and floorwork.

Group Gyrokinesis sessions are dynamic movement experiences that leave you feeling worked, refreshed, cleansed, and healthy. The entire body is addressed, every joint, muscle and organ through rhythmic breath and movement sequences that flow from one position to the next.  These sessions systematically address the needs of our bodies in this ever changing and challenging world.

Alissa Waller has been a part of these educational programs since 2000.  As a Pre-trainer for the Chicago Gyrotonic community (2000-2003), and then as a Master Trainer for Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis, Alissa has trained and mentored dozens of successful movement instructors nationwide. Alissa offers both the Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Foundation Teacher Training programs as well as continuing education options for already certified instructors.
